Following the plans to keep
publishing in English and doing more normal texts today I want to tell you
about what I like to do in a Tuesday night.
Song for the night: Moonlight Sonata
Sometimes I wonder what is beyond
us. I like to sit in the grass, even lay down, and look up, to the sky and the
stars. Since I was a little boy in Arkansas I had this thing with the
universe, maybe was my way to question everything around and search for more
when all answers and questions are not enough, or maybe was just the fact that I
like to look at the sky and wonder about stars. They have little nice shiny
lights and when you look at it from a place where the city lights are almost
none you can see many amazing stars and constellations (and I cannot identify
even one).
Cloudy nights can be terrible for my
Tuesdays, even the moon can ruin everything with that pale clear and bright
light covering all the nice things the universe show us in the night. When is
cold you can feel that wind going through the fields and making you smell
flowers, earth, and grass. This small breeze is also good in summer, when the
hot air gets softened by the wind.
I have to
say, also, about the Tuesday nights in the city oh my sweet Juiz de Fora. You
can see from a hill the bright lights of the city shinning like yellow stars in
earth, making us looks like a mirror for the night, a light for the sky. The constant
sound of cars passing by, the living roads cutting the hills like a snake made
of stone, houses full of life and people walking, seeing or
dreaming, all that is part of a big scene. All that is part of my Tuesday nights,
when restaurants open for shows and people go eat all prepared and obviously
hungry and ready for anything life can give them.
I see this from
the window in my room, in my bed, in the car, closed eyes or looking for the
sky with questions that I don’t even know how to make it.
